Here at Cumbria Curtain Call, it’s not just about learning to sing, dance and act. We are passionate about equipping young people with life skills for now and the future, whatever path they may choose to take. Integrating and developing communication skills, confidence, creativity, imagination, and mindfulness into our programs is a crucial part of our ethos, as we strongly believe these are indispensable skills for young people to feel empowered and to have access to.

We inspire all our young performers to try new things. We recognise that this can be scary sometimes, so no one is ever made to feel uncomfortable. We never want to push anyone too far outside their comfort zone but are keen believers that a little nudge into the unknown sometimes is what can help us grow. Little steps can take you far!

We strive to create supportive, friendly, and encouraging environments, by modeling these values for our young performers to absorb and reflect back to their peers. We celebrate individuality and everybody’s own unique sparkle, supporting self-expression and independence. Nobody is ever made to feel left out due to our deep-rooted ethos of kindness and inclusivity. Furthermore, all of our classes are delivered in a way that makes them accessible and adaptable to each unique class and everyone in it, so everyone is welcome.

We strongly believe that every young performer should be given equal opportunities to shine. For this reason, we plan all of our classes, workshops, and other opportunities in a way that promotes fairness, because everybody is a star at Cumbria Curtain Call!
